BURN BAN

The Burn Ban will remain in effect for the next 90 days unless changed by the Fire Marshall.

• No Campfires!
• No Tiki Torches!
• No Open Flames of any kind!

• Yes, during the Burn Ban, only outdoor cooking is permitted.
• Propane or Charcoal Grill required.
• Pits/Grills must be elevated, enclosed, and have a solid lid.

• Please dump the ash from your personal pit or grill in the firepit at your campsite.
• Our Camp Rangers will dispose of all ash upon your departure.
• If you have a longer stay and require ash removal from your  firepit before departure, please notify a Camp Ranger or the Office.

• YES! Please extinguish all hot coals from your pit or grill.
• Red Coals or Smoke emitting from ash can still catch fire due to wind.
• If you need assistance with extinguishing your coals please notify a Camp Ranger.

No, unfortunately. Our fire pits are not elevated, enclosed, and do not have a solid lid.

• Wood burning is not permittted during a Burn Ban.
• Solid Lids are required to contain all fires.

• Only the Comal County Fire Marshall can lift the Burn Ban. 
• It will depend on the amount of rain received.
• Summer Burn Bans generally require at least 3 inches of rain or more within the County to lift a Burn Ban 

Yes! The minimum fine starts at $1,000.00
